I bought this several years back at Mayes Used Records on 8 Mile Road in Hazel Park, MI. Before the blogs it was my #1 source for the classic music I love. The last time I went was the day I most feared… It was empty. I entered through the back door (which had been kicked in previously) and stood among the empty racks knowing that day had arrived and there would be no more gems found for $1 in unorganized stacks. :(
Last I heard, Bob (the owner) was selling at record shows exclusively. It’s not the same though. I’m damn thankful for places like this where we can share this great music that’s not typically available elsewhere.
