Comment:
Following the success of Blue Lights in the Basement in early 1978, Roberta Flack released this self-titled album late that same year on Atlantic. It featured the single "If Ever I See You Again," written by Joe Brooks, who penned Debby Boone's massive hit "You Light Up My Life." The song peaked at No. 24 on the Pop Singles Chart, No. 37 on the R&B Singles Chart, and No. 1 on the Adult Contemporary Chart. Produced by Jerry Greenberg, Joseph Ferla, Joe Brooks, and Rubina Flake, the album reached No. 74 on the Pop Albums Chart and No. 37 on the R&B Albums Chart. "When It's Over" and "You Are Everything" reached No. 82 and No. 98 on the R&B Singles Chart, respectively.

Roberta Flack is the only album in Roberta's Atlantic catalogue that has never been reissued on CD in the US. Only available on compact disc in Japan for a time, it is now highly collectible in the CD format.
