Review:
''Queen of the Night'' reunites Loleatta Holloway with producer Norman Harris, her collaborator on the breakthrough Loleatta. As the title portends, the album completes the singer's transformation from Southern soul diva to disco monarch, a shift that bolsters her potent vocals with Harris' soaring arrangements and infectious rhythms. The album also proved a commercial success, generating the club hits "Catch Me on the Rebound," "Mama Don't, Papa Won't," and "I May Not Be There When You Want Me." Still, Holloway scored her biggest chart hit with Queen of the Night's most conventional entry, "Only You," a duet with Bunny Sigler.
