Notes :
Special Quartet is from Extremadura (Spain). This great four musicians decided to record in Namouche Studios,in Lisbon,on December 6th,7th and 8th 2007.They have shared this experience with three of their preferred jazzmen, Alexis Cuadrado, Bass (New York), Perico Sambeat, Alto Sax (Valencia) and Hugo Alves, Trumpet (Faro). All of them conform this septet as a very powerful jazz group with a solid sense of tradition and a very brave spirit for searching their own sound, their own Jazz.

*****

Special Quartet from is well versed in the modern jazz of Coltrane, Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock, So much so that you will swear these ten tracks of sophisticated sounds came straight off an old 60s vinyl. Yet Namouche is a new album that delivers mellow urban jazz custom made for a relaxing evening. The instrumentalists all play with expertise and a respectful reverence to this classic jazz sound. Highly recommended to all jazz fans. The album is available as a free download from Jamendo in VBR MP3 format. If you enjoy the music, support the band by purchasing the better sound quality CD.
